Internship Opportunities

In the near future (2023), we will be accepting an intern for a small but thriving private practice. The practice is primarily focused on couples and family counseling/therapy but sees individuals as well. When first joining the practice the intern will be expected to be observed and/or participate in co-counseling/therapy by a more experienced clinician in the practice but will transition to solo work under standard supervision with time.

If you’re thinking about applying in the future, keep these requirements in mind:

Master’s program in counseling with a marriage and family counseling specialization (a marriage and family “certification” is not acceptable) or a marriage and family therapy program.

  • The program must be CACREP or COAMFTE accredited

  • Two recommendation letters from faculty at your current university.

  • Professional resume

  • Official academic Transcript

  • Be willing to commit to an August to June placement.

  • No practicum placements internship students only.

  • Participate in clinical presentations

  • Conduct intakes and schedule appointments for other clinicians.

  • Complete an application.

  • Interview
